Linn Wildcats
Announcements, fundraisers, and program news
Linn opens the 2026 season at home against Cuba on Friday, August 28. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM — wear red and pack the house.
There are some football games on the schedule. And then there are games you remember. Friday night is one of those nights.
The Linn Wildcats are ready to take the field for the first time this season. A new season. A new chapter. A team that has put in the work all summer. Now, it's time to play.
For the players, Friday night represents everything they have worked toward: the early mornings, long practices, heat, weight-room sessions, countless repetitions, coaches pushing them to be better, and teammates pushing one another. All of it has led to this.
Across the field will be the Cuba Wildcats, ready to compete. But when the lights come on and the stands begin to fill, there will be something special about the atmosphere in Linn. This is not just about 11 players on the field — it's about an entire community.
The stands will be packed. The student section will be loud. The band will be playing. The cheerleaders will be fired up. Parents, grandparents, alumni, coaches, and fans will all be there. When the Wildcats run onto the field, they should know exactly who is behind them: Linn.
From the youngest youth players watching their heroes to the seniors beginning their final season under the Friday night lights, this program is bigger than one game. It's a football family.
If you're planning on coming Friday night, get there early. Get your food, find your seat, bring your friends and family, and wear red. Then get ready to make some noise.
A new season brings a clean slate, new goals, new expectations, and new memories waiting to be made. On Friday night, the Linn Wildcats get their first opportunity to start writing that story.
Bring the energy. Bring the noise. Bring the red. Because when the lights come on at Linn High School, the Wildcats are coming.
